About what kind of things do you need when traveling to Nashville,Tennessee

What kind of things do you need when traveling to Nashville,Tennessee?
I'm going to visit my cousins for a month this summer and this is my first time traveling. At all. I've been stuck in St. Louis for 7 years nonvacation.

Answer 1 :
Just bring the same stuff you would use at home this summer, clothes, bathroom stuff, purse stuff, camera, phone, etc. For clothes, it is hot here just like in St. Louis. Shorts, tops, a couple of pairs of slacks and blouses in case you go out to dinner, sandals, flipflops, sneakers, pjs, underwear. Call your cousins to see if there is something planned that you need to bring something special, like a dressy outfit or hiking boots. Put a notepad in your room and write down everything you use during a day. That will give you a good start on what to take. Hope you have a great summer

About How much would I spend traveling from Nashville to Chattanooga & staying for 2 days in the cheapest hotel?

How much would I spend traveling from Nashville to Chattanooga & staying for 2 days in the cheapest hotel?
My Boss wants to know how much I would need for this trip. Please include gas going and coming back that would help too.

Answer 1 :
It is about 135 miles each way, and figuring 20 miles per gallon and $3.50 per gallon, that is about $48 in gas. However, the IRS allows 55.5 cents a mile, so your boss should pay you $149.85 if you are using your car for business. (Your mileage may be different depending on where you start in Nashville and where you go in Chattanooga.) The cheapest hotel in Chattanooga is about $40 a night. That includes dirt, bed bugs, and bad service. I suggest you look at www.tripadvisor.com for a place to stay since it includes both rates and reviews. You can sort using the "Price" tab and using the rates slide. Add about 20% for sales tax and hotel tax.

bus
Answer 2 :
If you buy Greyhound tickets online, it's about $250 for round-trip from Philly to Nashville. $284 if you buy them at the terminal.
Answer 3 :
Plane, train, bus, car, bicycle, and walk are your only options to get anywhere. You are correct, you can not get here by train.

About besides flying or Greyhound, are there any other options of traveling from Nashville (Murfreesboro) to Atla

Besides flying or Greyhound, are there any other options of traveling from Nashville (Murfreesboro) to Atla?
I live in Smyrna and will need to travel to Atlanta next month. I was wondering if anyone knew of any traveling companies I could ride with to get to Atlanta? I hear Greyhound is slow and I don't want to fly.

Answer 1 :
Greyhound is about 4 hrs and runs $45 each way. Amtrak goes not go to Nashville so Greyhound is about your own only option other than flying.
Answer 2 :
You can look on Craigslist for a ride and post a note there too. You need to post your note there about every 3 days so people will see it. Look under "Rideshare."
